Staceys far døde da hun var lille og nu har hun også mistet sin mor. Hendes morbror, Will, er blevet løsladt fra fængslet for at tage sig af hende, men det med at tage sig af er ikke Wills stærke side. Det er svært at få et job, når man har været i fængslet og Will har svært ved at holde sig fra alkohol og Staceys piller.
